With simple ingredients like frozen banana, blueberries, and almond butter, this smoothie blends together in seconds and tastes just like a spoonful of blueberry pie!

Why You’ll Love This Blueberry Almond Butter Smoothie

  • Thanks to your favourite protein powder or Greek yogurt you’ll get those extra grams of protein.
  • My two favourite protein brands that I use are myprotein and Naked.
  • The combo of frozen banana, almond butter, and non-dairy milk like unsweetened almond milk or oat milk makes this smoothie ultra-smooth and satisfying.
  • Ripe banana and fresh blueberries bring a natural sweetness, so there’s no need for added sugar.
  • Nut butters, chia seeds, hemp seeds, and even flaxseed offer monounsaturated fats and fatty acids for long-lasting energy.
  • Blueberries are a great source of vitamin C and vitamin K, while almond butter gives you a dose of vitamin E and minerals that may support blood pressure balance. Check out our easy Blueberry Peanut Butter recipe here.

How to Make this Blueberry Almond Butter Smoothie

  1. Add all ingredients to a high-speed blender (I use a Nutri Bullet)
  2. Blend on high until smooth and creamy, about 1 minute
  3. Feel free to add more almond butter, an extra splash of milk, or a handful of fresh fruit if needed.
  4. Pour into a smoothie glass, sprinkle with extra chia seeds, flax seeds or a touch of almond butter on top and enjoy!

Serving Ideas

  • Add extra protein powder or collagen to boost recovery after a workout.
  • Make it thicker by using less liquid, then top with fresh banana slices, flaxseed meal, and a drizzle of peanut butter.
  • For a Kid-friendly version, skip the protein powder and use fresh banana, frozen blueberries, and almond milk for a quick cold smoothie they’ll love.
