White Chocolate Protein Balls (No-Bake Energy Bites)
If you’re looking for a quick and delicious way to fuel your day, these white chocolate protein balls are about to become your new go-to.

Packed with vanilla protein powder, rolled oats, cashew butter, and sweet white chocolate chips, these energy balls are the perfect balance between a workout snack and a treat for your sweet tooth.
I love having a batch of energy bites in the fridge for busy days, post-gym fuel, or even as a wholesome option for picky eaters who crave something sweet but still need a little boost of protein.
Why You’ll Love This Protein Ball Recipe
- Protein-packed – A great balance of vanilla protein powder, oats, and nut butter.
- No bake – Quick and easy; ready in under 20 minutes.
- Customisable – Swap cashew butter for almond butter or peanut butter. Try mixing in dark chocolate if you like to play with your favourite flavours.
- Kid-friendly – Even picky eaters will love these sweet, chewy bites.
- Versatile – Perfect as a pre-gym boost, an afternoon pick-me-up, or a healthy-ish dessert.
Ingredients
- 1 cup rolled oats
- ½ cup vanilla protein powder. My two favourite protein brands that I use are myprotein and Naked.
- ¼ cup cashew butter or coconut cashew butter
- 3 tbsp maple syrup
- 1 tsp vanilla essence
- ½ cup white chocolate chips (mixed into the balls)
- 3 tbsp milk of choice
- 1 cup roughly chopped white chocolate chips (melted, for coating)

Instructions
- Mix the base – In a large bowl, combine oats, vanilla protein powder, cashew butter, maple syrup, vanilla essence, and milk. Stir until a sticky dough forms.
- Add the chocolate – Fold in ½ cup of white chocolate chips.
- Shape into balls – Roll the mixture into bite-sized energy balls (about 1 tbsp each). Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Coat in white chocolate – Melt the roughly chopped white chocolate chips in the microwave or over a double boiler. Dip or drizzle over the protein balls until coated.
- Chill & enjoy – Refrigerate for 30 minutes until firm. Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week.

How to Switch up Your White Chocolate Protein Balls
- Go nutty – Try swapping cashew butter for almond butter or peanut butter for a twist on classic peanut butter protein balls.
- Mix up the flavours – Add shredded coconut, chopped dates, or a drizzle of dark chocolate for a mix of your favourite flavours.
- Make it lighter – Use fewer chocolate chips if you want a lower sugar, more oat-forward snack.
Storage & Shelf Life
- Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 7 days.
- Freeze for up to 2 months. This recipe is perfect for prepping small batches ahead of time.
- Let thaw at room temperature before enjoying for the best chewy texture.
