Ingredients

  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • ½ cup peanut butter (creamy or crunchy both work!)
  • 3 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence
  • 4 dates, blitzed with a dash of water in a food processor
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips (or 100g chopped white chocolate bar) for coating
  • Crushed peanuts (unsalted) for topping

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the rolled oats, peanut butter, maple syrup, vanilla essence, and the smooth date paste. Stir until it forms a sticky dough.
  2. Roll the mixture into 10–12 little balls, depending on the size you prefer. Place them on a parchment paper-lined cookie sheet or wooden board.
  3. Melt the white chocolate or chips in a microwave-safe bowl in 15-second bursts, stirring in between until smooth. For the best results, use low heat or a double boiler.
  4. Dip or roll each ball into the melted white chocolate, making sure it’s fully coated.
  5. While the chocolate is still wet, sprinkle over crushed peanuts to add crunch.
  6. Let the chocolate set at room temperature, or place the tray in the fridge for a quicker set.

Variations & Tips

  • Try swapping peanut butter for sunflower seed butter if you need a nut-free version.
  • Use dark chocolate instead of white for a richer taste (perfect for Reese’s peanut butter cups fans).
  • For a protein boost, mix in a scoop of whey protein before rolling.
  • Add a sprinkle of graham cracker crumbs or rice krispies for extra crunch.
  • If you love candy recipes, drizzle over some candy melts in fun colors for fun times with the kids.

Serving & Storing

Once set, store your bliss balls in an airtight container at room temperature for 2–3 days, or in the fridge if you prefer a firmer texture. They’re the perfect addition to a snack box, lunchbox (not school safe as they contain nuts), or even a homemade bake dessert recipe collection.
