Ingredients

  • 12 strawberries washed and dried
  • 12 squares white chocolate approx 100g
  • 1 tsp coconut oil for melting with chocolate
  • 1 tube black icing or dark chocolate works too

Equipment

  • 1 glass jug or bowl for melting chocolate
  • 1 baking sheet or wooden board

Method

  1. Wash and dry the strawberries. Make sure they’re completely dry before dipping
  2. Add the chocolate and coconut oil to a bowl and use a microwave or double boiler to melt the chocolate and stir until smooth and glossy (if you're using a microwave melt in 30 second bursts and mix as you go)
  3. Hold each strawberry by the stalk and dip it into the melted chocolate, letting the excess drip off slightly
  4. Place the coated strawberries on a parchment-lined tray and pop them in the fridge for about 20 minutes, or until the chocolate has hardened
  5. Once set, use black icing to draw on spooky or silly ghost faces
  6. Place back in the fridge until you are ready to serve

Notes

Keep your strawberry ghosts in an airtight container in the fridge for up to two days. For the best texture, enjoy them the same day you make them.
