Hugo Spritz

A refreshing Hugo Spritz recipe made with prosecco, elderflower syrup, soda water, and fresh mint. The perfect summer cocktail for BBQs, brunch, and warm evenings.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 glass ice cubes
  • 30 mls elderflower cordial/liqueur
  • 150 mls prosecco chilled
  • 50 mls soda water
  • 3-5 leaves fresh mint
  • 2-3 wedges lime

Equipment

  • 1 measuring jug
  • 1 large wine glass
  • 1 spoon for stirring

Method
 

  1. Start with a large wine glass and fill it with plenty of ice cubes
  2. Pour your elderflower syrup or cordial
  3. Next pour in your prosecco
  4. Add a splash of soda water (or club soda) to lighten the drink
  5. Gently clap your fresh mint leaves to release their aroma, then add them to the glass along with lime slices or a lime wedge
  6. Give it a soft stir and enjoy immediately
